Two Land Conservation Meetings Planned for May

Residents of Southwest Pacific, LaBarque and Northern Jefferson County, St. Louis County and Eureka are invited to a special open house and reception to learn more about public and private land conservation initiatives and opportunities under way in their region.

Join land conservation leaders and organizations to learn more about regional public lands and open space conservation techniques, including land acquisition, conservation easements and funding opportunities available to landowners.

The event will be held Tuesday, May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Freund House at Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit; and Wednesday, May 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Visitors Center, Route 66 State Park in Eureka.

The Open Space Council for the St. Louis Region, The Friends of LaBarque Creek and the Missouri Department of Conservation will host the event.

Reservations are required by Friday, May 10.
