The next Evening at the Museum, sponsored by the Washington Historical Society, will feature selected African-American historic sites of Franklin County.

The program will be held this Tuesday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at the Historical Society Museum.

Marc Houseman, museum director, has researched the subject and will present a PowerPoint detailing selected churches, schools, cemeteries and other places of significance relating to the African-Americans of the county from the days of slavery up into the mid-20th century.

As always, the program is free and open to the public.
