Two Men Arrested In Pursuit — Meth, Stolen Property Seized

At that point, the driver sped away north across the Missouri River bridge pursued by Stapp.

Stapp followed the vehicle at speeds reaching 100 mph, but terminated the chase when the suspect began driving northbound in the southbound lane directly at oncoming traffic, police reported.

A short time later, police received a report from Marthasville Fire District personnel that one of their crew members saw the vehicle pull into the driveway at their station in Dutzow and a suspect fled on foot.

Stapp went to that location and confirmed that the truck was the one he was chasing. Officers found methamphetamine and stolen property inside the vehicle which was stolen from Lincoln County, according to police.

The suspect reportedly forced his way into a nearby home, but again fled on foot as officers arrived.

About two hours later, police received a report of a suspicious person near Blumenhof Winery on Highway 94 at Dutzow.

Warren County deputies responded and took the suspect into custody. He was taken to Mercy Hospital Washington by Marthasville EMS, according to the report by Washington police.

Minutes later, deputies took a second suspect into custody near the same area.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for driving with a suspended license, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and speeding.

Police Chief Ken Hahn said Warren County deputies will conduct a further investigation and apply for appropriate charges against the two suspects.

Police said one of the men is from the Warrenton area and the other is from Cedar Hill in Jefferson County.
