The Washington Town and Country Fair has announced entry deadlines and rules for a large number of events and contests.
Preregistration for Home Economics and Fine Arts is mandatory for entry at the Washington Town and Country Fair.
Preregistration forms are available at the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce office.
Forms also will be available at www.washmofair.com.
Items to be entered must be listed on the form; exhibitors are limited to one form with a maximum of 30 entries only.
Forms must be filled out completely and returned to the Chamber office, 323 W. Main St., Washington, MO 63090, by Friday, July 19.
All Home Economics and Fine Arts exhibits must be original and have been made by the entrant since September 2012. Once an item has been entered, it cannot be entered again.
Catalogs listing all categories and classes will be mailed to past exhibitors.

All livestock entry forms and fees must be received by the Washington Town and Country Fair, c/o Washington Chamber of Commerce, 323 W. Main St., Washington, MO 63090, postmarked no later than Friday, July 19. No exceptions will be made.
Entry forms are included in the Fair catalog at the end of the livestock pages. Those forms may be duplicated.
Other forms may be obtained from the Chamber office or printed from our website — www.washmofair.com.
No animal will be accepted at the Fair that has not been officially entered. Substitutions may only be made by calling the show chairman before July 24.
The charge for stall rental fees (per head) will be: market animals, $15; beef breeding/dairy, $10; and sheep/swine breeding, $5.
All animals will be inspected by a veterinarian at the gate prior to entering the fairgrounds.
All exhibitors are required to purchase a season pass by Friday, July 19.
Exhibitor vehicle passes will be issued at the time of entry payment. One vehicle pass will be issued per family.
No vehicle will be allowed on the grounds without a proper pass. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Open Market Hog
One entry per exhibitor will be allowed for the open market hog.
Animals will be weighed and tagged at the Fair, however, there will be no weight limits.
No stall fee is required, but animal must be registered.
Market hog health requirements must be followed. Forms must be returned by Wednesday, July 31.
The Fair Run-Walk and Kids’ Fun Run will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, at Washington City Park.
Participants must be preregistered by Friday, July 12, to guarantee receipt of a shirt.
Registration forms are available at the Chamber office.
This year, the Fair will partner with FleetFeet in St. Louis for registration and race timing.
Participants can register online at www.fleetfeetstl.com, or can return a paper copy with payment to the Chamber office.
Contest entry forms are being accepted at the Chamber office.
Forms are available on the Fair’s website, www.washmofair.com.
Some contests are limited in the number of entries accepted.
For contests with an unlimited number of participants, preregistration is preferred, but entries will be accepted at contest time as well.
Participants registering onsite must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and must still complete a registration form before participating.
Preregistration is still required for the following events: Washer Tournament, Bucket of Junk, Kids’ Super Farmer Contest, Pig Chase, Pedal Tractor Pull, Wii Bowling, Beat the Parents, Outhouse Race, Just Dance Contest and Talent Contest.
The deadine to enter the Farm Mechanics event, Livestock Judging Contest and Washer Tournament is July 19.
The Washer Tournament is limited to the first 24, two-person teams.
An entry fee of $65 must accompany registration form. Registration now includes admission to the fairgrounds for participants only.
The deadline for Beat the Parents, a new event, Bucket of Junk, Just Dance Contest, Kids Super Farmer Contest, Outhouse Race, Pig Chase, Pedal Tractor, Super Farmer Contest, Real Moms of WashMO, also new this year, Talent Contest and Wii Bowling Tournament is July 31.
Beat the Parents game show is limited to the first four child-parent teams per age group (determined by child’s age).
The Bucket of Junk Contest is limited to the first 10 entries per class, adult or junior.
Just Dance Contest is limited to the first 24 entries.
Kids Super Farmer Contest is limited to the first 15 participants per age group.
The Outhouse Race is limited to the first eight, four-person teams.
Pig Chase is limited to the first 30 participants per age group.
Real Moms of WashMO is limited to the first 16 pre-registered participants.
The Talent Contest is open to the first five entries per age group in each of the three categories: Vocal, Instrumental and Tumbling/Dance/Gymnastics.
The Wii Bowling Tournament is limited to the first 16, two-person teams. An entry fee of $30 must accompany registration form.
All Field Class Tractor Pull entry forms must be received on or before Aug. 2.
An entry fee of $20 must accompany registration form.
For the Garden Tractor Pull, an entry form along with a $10 entry fee must be returned by Wednesday, Aug. 7.
