Police said they plan to seek property damage charges against a 21-year-old man accused of driving a vehicle through a number of yards early Thursday. Washington police said they plan to apply for felony charges against a man accused of damaging a number of lawns early Thursday by driving a vehicle across them.

The suspect was arrested shortly before 11 a.m. Thursday based on descriptions given by witnesses and a video, police said.

The 21-year-old Washington man’s name was not released pending a decision by the prosecuting attorney on filing charges.

Police started getting calls about 5:30 a.m. of someone driving through yards in Quail Run subdivision.

Eight yards were damaged in the subdivision, including four on Durham Drive, three on Oxford Drive and one on Lancaster Court, according to police.

One yard at a home on Karen Lane also was damaged in the vandalism spree.
