Washington police took a juvenile into custody Friday night for allegedly vandalizing six vehicles in the city.
Bricks, rocks, asphalt and pieces of concrete were used to damage the vehicles, said Detective Sgt. Brad Erisman of the Washington Police Department.
Damage occurred to taillights, windows and doors, Erisman said.
Police found three Washington juveniles walking Friday night on East Third Street just before 10 p.m. Two of the juveniles pointed fingers at the third one as the one responsible for the damage.
The other two juveniles were released while the third one was taken to juvenile detention. Because he is a juvenile, the suspect’s name cannot be released, but Erisman said he is 15 years old.
The juvenile is charged with felony property destruction. No damage estimates were available Monday.
The vehicles that sustained damage were parked in the 1500 block of Third Parkway, 700 block of West Second Street, 18 E. Front St., 1800 block of East Third Street, 1400 block of East Third Street and 600 block of West Second Street.
