Marbach Students to Arrive in Washington March 21

Fifteen students and two teachers from Washington’s sister city Marbach am Neckar in Germany will visit Washington March 21 through April 1.

Students and teachers will stay with host families, as listed below:

Aline Albrecht with the Jeanette and Eric Struckhoff family; Fabian Tobias Becker with the Steve and Andrea Fuse family; Nils Blankenhorn with the Roger and Barb Gansmann family;

Elisa Corbean with the George and Angela Godat family; Miriam Isabelle Döbere with the Steven and Susan Lindemann family; Martin Dümmel with the Keith and Lisa Straatmann family;

Lena Marina Eberhardt with the Mark and Sue Michels family; Tabea Maren Fuchs with the Dan and Vickie Fredrick family; Stefan Torben Funk with the Gary and Cindy DuMontier family;

Linda Klinger with the Paul and Noreen Roubian family; Lukas Köhler with the Brian and Stephanie Alferman family; Amelie Landenberge with the Chris and Laura Arand family;

Yannick Riegraf with the Brad and Teresa Newton family; Lars Tilmann Ruge with the Jim and Lori Fumagalli family; Jan Siebert, teacher, with Dale and Karen Straatmann; and Kirsten Fallboehmer, teacher, with Manuella Schmitt.

During their stay, the German students will visit schools, including St. Francis Borgia Regional High School and Washington High School, as well as city hall, the fire station and the library.

Students also will tour the Riegel farm, Sporlan, the Four Rivers Area Family YMCA, Meramec Caverns, Chesterfield Sports Fusion, the St. Louis Arch and St. Louis Zoo.

The guests will visit the DaVinci exhibit at First Christian Church, the Washington Historical Society Museum, Gary R. Lucy Gallery and Big Driver.
