A Union woman was transported by ambulance from the scene of this crash on Highway 50 at Oak Street Wednesday. Union police said Venita D. Jones, 72, Union, was in a 2003 Jeep Liberty at 10:20 a.m. that was stopped on eastbound Highway 50 to turn left onto Oak Street when it was struck in the rear by a 1999 Ford Taurus driven by Barbara Tumminello, 43, Union. Police said the Jones vehicle yielded to westbound traffic when it was struck. Tumminello was taken to Mercy Hospital Washington by Union Ambulance. She was not wearing a seat belt, police said.
