A Union man was issued tickets Saturday when an off-duty Bourbon police officer saw a woman pour bong water onto the QuikTrip parking lot.
According to Union police, the Bourbon officer contacted police at 8:10 p.m. after he saw the woman dump liquid from the bong, commonly used to smoke marijuana, onto the ground next to the vehicle where he was parked.
The male driver and female passenger went into the store, and got into the vehicle.
A Union officer stopped the car, and asked the passenger about dumping the bong water, police said. She stated that the bong had fallen when she was getting out of the car.
Police located the bong, a small amount of marijuana and rolling papers in the car. The driver said the items belonged to him.
The man was given tickets for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
