A Union man was seriously injured Sunday after he was ejected from his motorcycle west of Washington.

Michael K. Ruether, 23, lost control of a 2001 Harley-Davidson Road King while southbound on Boeuf Creek road at 6:10 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Ruether was ejected from the motorcycle after it overturned. He was flown by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis, the patrol said.

The crash occurred south of Enoch's Knob Road.
