A fire destroyed an agricultural barn at a home off Highway 185 Monday night.

Beaufort-Leslie Fire Protection Chief Terry Feth said the barn was destroyed in the blaze at a farm owned by Kevin Rohrers.

The farm is located north of Highway YY.

“It was discovered late and between the homeowner and myself, we decided it was best to let all of it go,” said Feth.

A second alarm was struck to provide additional water and manpower, Feth said.

There were no injuries in the fire that was reported about 9:15 p.m.

Fire crews from Union, Gerald-Rosebud, Washington and New Haven provided mutual aid.

Firefighters were on the scene for about three hours, Feth said.
