Business Buys $6,500 in Meramec Valley Chamber Gift Certificates
A local business, which wishes to remain anonymous, has purchased $6,500 in the Chamber of Commerce Meramec Valley gift certificates.
The certificates, purchased in $25 increments over the holiday, will be distributed to the firm’s employees and vendors who reside in the Pacific and local community.
“This is a great push for keeping spending local,” said Al Baldwin, Chamber board member.
Local retailers are reminded to accept the certificates as cash.
“The easier you make it on the customer as a cash transaction the more they will come back for repeat business,” Baldwin said. “It really works. We have great response from many happy businesses.”
Retailers redeem the certificates at the Chamber of Commerce office, where their money is refunded dollar for dollar.
The purpose of the gift certificates is to push consumers into local businesses.
There is no cost for retail business to participate in the program. For more information, contact the Chamber office at 636-271-6639 or exdir@pacificchamber.com.
The gift certificates are available for purchase at the Pacific Area Chamber of Commerce. Merchants are asked to display a window cling that indicates their acceptance of the gift certificates.
