Counterfeit Bills Surface - The Missourian: Pacific

The Chamber of Commerce notified Pacific business owners that several counterfeit $20 bills have surfaced in the Pacific area recently.

Three Pacific businesses have reported receiving some of the counterfeit money.

Business owners and employees are urged to check all large bills, especially $20 bills, which seem to be getting through and are not caught until they reach the bank, Chamber officials said.

Retailers are advised to check for watermarks on the bills and to contact their bank for assistance in identifying counterfeit bills.
