Pacific businesses are presenting a picnic for the Blind and Visually impaired Saturday, May 18, at 11:30 a.m. in the city park on West Congress.

Featured speakers at the picnic include Christine Parsons, vice president of the Missouri Chapter of the National Federation for the Blind; Denny Huff, member of the Missouri Council for the Blind; and Pacific elected officials.

Dale Oberkramer, event chairman, said that blind and visually impaired persons living in Franklin, Jefferson, St. Louis and St. Charles counties, as well as the city of St. Louis are invited to attend.

Big G Tire of Pacific, Steve Baker’s championship barbecue team, Oink-a-Doodle-Moo, Third Rail Grill of Pacific and the Eureka Outreach for the Blind and Visually Impaired are providing the food, facilities and transportation.

Reservations are required to attend this free picnic. People may contact Dale Oberkramer at 636-393-0009 or email rwardenburg@sbcglobal.net no later than May 10 to make reservations.
