Kenneth Justin Naylor, MD, recently joined Mercy Hospital Pain Management in Washington, and is part of Mercy Clinic Four Rivers.
Naylor will partner with Jason Hahn, MD, in Suite 144 at Mercy Medical Building North, 851 E. Fifth St. He also will provide anesthesia services in the hospital.
Naylor was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He completed undergraduate training and earned his medical degree at the University of Utah.
He finished residency training at the University of Chicago, and a fellowship at Northwestern University/McGaw Medical Center Department of Pain Medicine/Anesthesiology.
“My goal as a pain management provider is to restore function and improve quality of life for my patients, while reducing their dependence on medications used to treat pain,” said Naylor. “Dr. Hahn and I share similar beliefs in our approach to managing pain. Often considered evidence-based medicine, we’ll talk with the patient, examine their issues, do our research and then develop a plan that’s best for them. That plan may include minimally invasive procedures or holistic care.”
As a pain specialist, Naylor can treat patients suffering from spinal narrowing, herniated discs, sciatica, degenerative back pain, facial pain, neck pain, spinal arthritis, spinal compression fractures, failed back surgery syndrome, pain after shingles, as well as many other conditions.
He also provides care for patients suffering from benign and malignant pain syndrome.
Some of the current minimally invasive procedures he performs include: RFA (radiofrequency ablation), spinal cord stimulation for failed back surgical syndrome, and kyphoplasty (vertebral augmentation) for compression fractures.
“Dr. Naylor is a great addition to our pain medicine department and the Four Rivers community,” said David Chalk, MD, president of Mercy Clinic Four Rivers. “He and Dr. Hahn will work closely with the primary care providers in our area to help patients dealing with pain feel better. We are excited to have him on board at Mercy and believe he will have a huge impact on the patients we serve.”
