A New Haven teen sustained serous injuries when her car left the roadway and overturned on Highway 100 just west of Highway J in Gasconade County at 7:25 a.m. Monday morning.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol preliminary report, the 2004 Ford F-150 driven by Maya K. Wideman, 16, was traveling eastbound in Highway 100 when it traveled off the roadway, overturned and then reentered the highway and came to rest in the middle of the roadway.

Wideman was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

Her vehicle was the only one involved in the accident and the patrol reports she was wearing a seat belt.
