There’s a new auto dealer in Union.
Brent Shocklee recently opened Shocked Auto Source at 106 Highway 50 West, near the United Bank of Union. Erica Glastetter is Shocklee’s business partner.
The dealership offers used vehicles of all makes and models, in-house financing and CarFax auto reports so customers can feel confident in their vehicle purchase.
“CarFax is a vehicle history report that runs off the vehicle identification number,” Shocklee explained. “It tells you the number of owners, if it’s been in an accident, services been done to it, manufacturer’s recalls (and other diagnostics).”
Shocklee said he offers the service complimentary so customers know they’re getting a quality vehicle. He also offers an after-market warranty for vehicles at his shop.
Financing is available, even for those with no or poor credit, he said, as well as those with good credit.
Vehicles are purchased at auction and private sales, Shocklee said.
Shocklee, who lives between Washington and Union, has been interested in cars since high school.
As a student at Washington High School, he took part in the vocational tech program at the Four Rivers Career Center. He also worked for a tire and auto repair shop and another local dealership.
At the career center, Shocklee had a teacher who sold cars.
“I always showed interest in car sales and he guided me to do it,” he said.
Over the years, Shocklee began buying, fixing up and selling cars.
“I always had a lot of cars around,” he said, noting opening a dealership has always been a dream.
Hours for Shocked Auto Source are Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
