The Missourian took home four first-place awards in the 2018 Missouri Advertising Managers’ Association (MAMA) Best Ad Contest.
The advertising staff also received three second-place, two third-place and three fourth-place awards in the annual contest.
The Missourian’s sister publication, the Warren County Record, won two awards.
The awards were presented at the annual MAMA awards banquet, held April 19 at Camden on the Lake Resort in Lake Ozark.
Jeanine York, Missourian advertising director, Whitney Livengood, Missourian digital advertising sales manager, and Jana Todd, The Record advertising rep, were in attendance for the two-day conference.
The awards won and sales reps honored are as follows:
First Place — Best Ad Smaller Than One-Fourth Page, Shingle Tech ad in Reader’s Choice special section, Whitney Livengood.
First Place — Best Digital Campaign, Washington Town & Country Fair, Whitney Livengood.
First Place — Best Single Classified Display Ad, Modern Auto, Whitney Livengood.
First Place — Best Shared/Signature Page, Happy Holidays section, Whitney Livengood.
Second Place — Best Ad No Smaller than a One-Fourth Page, Heritage Community Bank, Mary Rayfield.
Second Place — Best Single Classified Display Ad, RE/MAX Gold, Katelyn Huber.
Second Place — Best Online Ad Designer, Lori Obermark.
Third Place — Best Advertising Sales Tool, The Use Letter, Katelyn Huber and Whitney Livengood.
Third Place — Best Classified Section, staff award.
Fourth Place — Best Ad No Smaller than a One-Fourth Page, Rothschild’s/Reader’s Choice Supplement, Mary Rayfield.
Fourth Place — Best Regularly Scheduled Section, Shop Local Shared Section, James Schwentker.
Fourth Place — Best Online Ad Designer, Jamie Bax.
The Record won first place for Best Ad Smaller Than One-Fourth Page, Hometown Christmas section, and second place in the same category for a Gastorf ad. Both awards were won by Jana Todd, Record ad sales rep.
