Mercy Clinic Four Rivers announces that Hollie Allen has been named director of hospital based physicians, and Alan Smith has been named vice president of operations.

Allen has been with Mercy since 2011, continuing in her career that has been spent entirely in health care.

She earned a master’s of business administration at Maryville University in 2016, and has been an integral part of many projects and departments at Mercy that range from patient experience to adult hospitalists, urgent care and primary care.

Most recently, Allen served as Mercy Clinic operations manager.

Allen currently lives in Pacific and was born and raised in the Franklin County area.

Smith joined Mercy in 2015 as executive director of Home Care Services in Springfield.

He moved to St. Louis in mid-2016 to serve as executive director of Mercy Clinic at Work, employer health solutions sales and contracting, and corporate health sales.

In this role he helped with strategies and execution of direct employer contracts in Mercy’s East community, and had oversight of seven Mercy Clinic at Work locations.

Smith earned a master’s of business administration from Lindenwood University in 2001.

Mercy Hospital Washington, a member of Mercy, is a 148-bed hospital serving all or parts of Crawford, Franklin, Gasconade, St. Charles, St. Louis and Warren counties.

The hospital offers comprehensive emergency, heart, cancer, surgical, obstetric, pediatric and other health services.

The hospital is supported by the care of more than 180 physicians and advanced practitioners who are part of Mercy Clinic.
