After 50 years in the financial services industry and 30-plus years as member of the Financial Planning Association, Donald R. Means, CFP, financial advisor of the Washington office of Wells Fargo Advisors, retired as of March 31.

Means joined AG Edwards & Sons in 1977, which merged with Wells Fargo Advisors in 2009, and has spent his career as a financial advisor working to help clients identify and achieve their financial goals.

In addition to his work with clients, he has been actively involved in the community as a member and founding president of the Washington Rotary Club, member and president of the Washington Jaycees and served on the East Central Board for 20 years. He also was a member and chairman of Immanuel Lutheran Church, served on the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce Board and Washington City Council, along with many other activities.
