Anna Landon has been named the chief nursing officer for Mercy Hospital Washington.
Landon has been director of perioperative services at both campuses in Washington for the past 18 months and also serves as a regional leader for the Mercy Ministry perioperative team.
During her time, she led efforts to improve co-worker engagement and retention, on-time starts and case turnaround times. She also led efforts to reduce unnecessary inventory and increased operating room utilization.
Before joining Mercy in 2015, Landon was director of NSQIP at Summit Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. She also has held nurse manager and charge nurse roles, including in a surgical ICU, and was once a nurse extern and scrub tech.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Middle Tennessee State University. She will be pursuing a master of Health Care Administration from Saint Louis University.
Landon lives in Washington with her husband, Dr. Tom Landon, and together they have four children — Andrew, Olivia, Bradley and Camron. The couple moved to Washington three years ago and have been involved in many community events to raise support for medical mission trips.
