Missouri author Larry Campbell will promote his book, “Rollin’ Down the River,” at Gary R. Lucy Gallery in Downtown Washington during Thirsty Thursday activities Sept. 21.

The book signing will run from 5 to 8 p.m.

Campbell spent his professional career working as a professor in mathematics and mathematics education at College of the Ozarks near Branson and Missouri State University in Springfield.

After retirement, he set out on a seven-week journey following the Missouri River — by car — from its source in Three Forks, Mont., to where it ends near St Louis.

Campbell will revisit his adventure through pictures and stories of the river, its life and its culture.

The 160-page book allows readers to experience the scenery that adorns the 2,341-mile path of the river as well as visit the historical sites along the way.

“Rollin’ Down the River – Discovering People and Places Along the Mighty Missouri” will be available for sale at Gary R. Lucy Gallery.
