Susan Eichholz recently was promoted to vice president/accounting manager at the Bank of Washington.

The promotion was announced by L. B. Eckelkamp Jr., chairman of the board and chief executive officer.

Eichholz has over 35 years of experience with the bank, starting in bookkeeping, moving into a teller position, next into the IRA/CD department and then into the accounting department, where she was most recently the accounting manager/officer.

“I am very proud to be a member of the Bank of Washington team for so many years,” Eichholz said

“The bank’s commitment to our community is apparent in so many ways,” she added. “We have always been encouraged to become involved in the community with their full support. The bank has always provided an exceptional working environment and this is evident in the service we give back to our customers.”

Eichholz is a member of St. John’s Gildehaus Parish, has served as the co-chair for the bank’s United Way campaign for many years, is a member of the United Way Power of the Purse committee and volunteers throughout many additional charitable campaigns at the bank.

She is a graduate of St. Francis Borgia High School and has completed many professional banking courses.

“Susan’s commitment to the Bank of Washington is continually impressive,” stated Eckelkamp. “She has excelled in each role the bank has asked of her, bringing a new level of professionalism and expertise to each position.”

Eichholz and her husband, Rick, reside in Villa Ridge, and have three children, Tim Eichholz and wife Laura, Alicia Schoonover and her husband Danny and daughter Brooke, and Lauren Eichholz.

The Bank of Washington is the oldest and largest community bank in Franklin County, serving the community for over 135 years. It offers banking seven days a week at its branch located inside Schnucks in Washington.
