L. B. Eckelkamp Jr., chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the Bank of Washington, announces the addition of Tom Hohman and the recent promotion of Krista Aholt.

Hohman has joined the bank as assistant vice president-commercial lending with over 20 years of banking experience.

Prior to joining the Bank of Washington, Hohman was most recently an assistant vice president-commercial lending officer at Truman Bank. His scope of experience ranges from credit risk assessment to loan portfolio management.

“The members of the Bank of Washington have been so friendly and professional that I have felt at home since my first day,” he said.

Hohman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a minor in human resources from Webster University. He has been involved with several charitable organizations including the United Way.

He also is a deacon at Community Christ Church in Kirkwood.

Hohman and his wife, Kim, reside in Concord Village with their three children — Kara, John and Ryan.

Aholt recently was promoted to retail banking officer and branch manager of the Bank of Washington’s Fifth Street location. She joined the bank in September 2012 as a retail banking assistant, and has over 12 years of community banking experience.

“I am very excited to work for a bank with such a wonderful history in our town, and I look forward to helping the great customers of our bank,” she said.

Aholt is a St. Francis Borgia Regional High School alum and graduated from Central Missouri State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. She also plans to attend the Missouri School of Banking in 2014.

Aholt has been actively involved with the Franklin County Relay for Life, the American Heart Association and St. Ann’s Parish. She and her fiancé, Nathan Jacquin, plan a January 2014 wedding and will reside in Clover Bottom.

Heather Gildehaus, previous Bank of Washington Fifth Street branch manager, also took a new position within the Bank of Washington as a retail banking officer/manager at the downtown location.

The Bank of Washington is the oldest and largest community bank in Franklin County, serving the community for over 135 years, and offering banking seven days a week at its branch located inside Schnucks in Washington.

In addition to six branch facilities located throughout Washington, Gray Summit and Villa Ridge, the Bank of Washington provides online banking, mobile banking and 14 ATMs throughout Washington, Marthasville, New Haven, Villa Ridge and Gray Summit.
