This fall, Jason Unnerstall, a financial adviser with Edward Jones, will open a new office at 1251 Jefferson St., Washington.

Unnerstall, who has been with the investment firm since July 1999, said he looks forward to expanding his business in his hometown.

“We are excited about our new location and we are eager for our clients to visit us,” he said.

He has been at his current location on High Street since he began with the company. The new office is expected to open in November.

A new building is under construction after a home was demolished July 15.

“I’m sad to see an existing home be torn down, but I’m happy to get the process started on putting the new building there,” he said.

Dale Westhoff, Washington, is the general contractor on the project.

The 1,800-square-foot, single-story brick building also will provide more space for Unnerstall and Tina Alferman, senior branch office administrator.

“I’m looking forward to continue helping clients with investments, retirements, 401(k)s and other financial goals,” Unnerstall said, adding that the primary reason for the move is to provide a more convenient location for clients.

The firm helps clients understand personal goals and create long term investment solutions.

Unnerstall said other than the location, no other changes will be made.
