Mad Buffalo Distillery will host its first public event, a Mad Moonshine Party, to introduce Union to its Thunderbeast Storm Moonshine.

The party, which is open to the public, will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at T’s Liquor Lane in Union.

“The party will bring together all types of people looking to try our Moonshine, but it will also give everyone the opportunity to meet us and find out who we are and what we are all about as people and as a company, in a friendly laid-back, neighborly atmosphere,” said cofounder and distiller William “Cole” Uphouse.

Thunderbeast Storm Moonshine is completely handcrafted by Mad Buffalo Distillery on its family farm, Shawnee Bend Farms, in Union. Mad Buffalo Distillery uses 100 percent corn that is grown, milled, malted, mashed and then distilled and bottled on site, thus making its operation completely “ground-to-glass.”

“We think we make a great-tasting product and are really looking forward to sharing our farm-made local Moonshine with our local community in and around Union,” said Vice President of Marketing Elise Burnette.

The event is free to enter. Thunderbeast Storm Moonshine will be on sale by the bottle, shot, glass, or mixed into a cocktail. This is not a tasting; free samples will not be available.
