Chick-fil-A to Serve at Washington's Mercy Hospital

“A lot of people who live in Washington would stop in and say they wish there was a Chick-fil-A in Washington,” he said.

At first, only the original chicken sandwich and the spicy chicken sandwich will be served; however, Bennett said he hopes to expand the menu if the demand is there.

“Ultimately, we want a Chick-fil-A in Washington,” he said. “This is an opportunity to gauge interest.”

Bennett said he can’t speak officially for Chick-fil-A Inc., on if or when a restaurant will be built in Washington.

“I can only show if the demand is there. (Then it is) a decision for Chick-fil-A Inc. to make,” he said.

The sandwiches will be prepared at the Wentzville Chick-fil-A and transported with temperature monitoring system bags to Washington. The bags are essentially miniature ovens, Bennett said.

“We are going to make sure that the Chick-fil-A sandwiches stay hot and are the exact same as if you were to go into the restaurant and order,” he said. “We guarantee the quality.”

Bennett said he’s been working on getting Chick-fil-A in Washington for about six months.

“I’m excited that it’s finally going to happen,” he said. “It is my hope as the owner that we can start catering and serving the community five or six days per week. I think Washington is ready.”

The sandwiches will be available at Mercy Hospital during lunch and dinner, but exact hours have not yet been set. The sandwiches will be available at Mercy South for lunch only. Hours will be released at a later date.
