The Washington Area Chamber of Commerce is making plans for its 31st annual Home Show.

The show, featuring the latest in home and garden ideas, will take place March 1-3 at the city auditorium.

Booths are still available to rent, according to Amanda Griesheimer, Chamber marketing director.

Chamber members will receive a discount for rental fees. The show is open to all home- and garden-related businesses in the area.

“We usually have about 38 vendors with some renting two spaces and we would love to have that kind of response again,” Griesheimer said.

The event attracts about 1,000 people over the three days, she said.

“We are looking at a few tweaks to the show and potentially adding some outdoor activities to draw more people in,” she said. “We try to offer something for everyone, whether you are considering or in the middle of a home or lawn project, or just wanting to see what’s new.”

Demonstrations from participating vendors also will be featured throughout the weekend, as well as building crafts for kids.

“We also will have door prizes and the Home Show Scavenger Hunt Friday through Saturday,” said Griesheimer, adding more details will be announced as the vendors are finalized.

There is no cost to attend. Refreshments will be available to purchase courtsey of the Washington Lions Club.

Businesses interested in renting a booth, should contact Tessie Steffens at the Chamber, 636-239-2715, extension 100, or email tsteffens@washmo.org.
