Grounds Guys Welcomes New Team of Managers
The Grounds Guys of Union recently added three managers to its team.
Joining Phil Klemme, owner, and Gary Butterfield, general manager, are Beth Hulsey, office manager; Patrick Hays, lawncare manager; and Jason Weiler, irrigation manager.
“I’m very excited to have these new team members,” Butterfield said, adding that the team has a great deal of customer service experience.
“They will play a crucial role as we strive to improve our customer service and culture within the company” he said.
Hulsey brings with her six years of office assistant experience.
Hays, who is a certified pesticide applicator, will oversee the lawncare department, including sales and training.
He spent nine years as a tree and shrub manager in the lawncare industry and an additional 15 years as an assistant horticulturalist at St. Albans Country Club.
Weiler began at The Grounds Guys in the spring of 2012 and recently was promoted. He will be responsible for the irrigation department, including installation, maintenance and new customer sales.
Klemme, who began working in the industry in 1983, purchased the service side of Platt Landscaping in 2004.
One year ago this month, he transitioned the business to The Grounds Guys of Union.
Since that time, the focus has been working on new practices and products, implementing new partnerships with vendors and expanding offerings to customers.
The Grounds Guys of Union continues to offer full-service lawn and landscape services.
