Mercy has several new primary care physicians accepting new patients.

The newest primary care physicians to the Mercy Clinic care team include internists and family medicine physicians specializing in wellness and a range of health care conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, weight management and minor illnesses and injuries.

“Most Mercy primary care physicians in the area are accepting new patients and many of those offices can take same day appointments, which is what we want to provide patients when they’re sick or injured,” said David Chalk, MD, president of Mercy Clinic. “Many of our newer primary care doctors are in the early phase of their careers and that gives them an advantage in having been immersed in the latest technologies during their entire training. They also have long careers ahead of them, so you can be assured that they will be your doctor for a long time to come.”
