New Primary Care Physicians at Mercy

Mercy has several new primary care physicians accepting new patients.

The newest primary care physicians to the Mercy Clinic care team include internists and family medicine physicians specializing in wellness and a range of health care conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, weight management and minor illnesses and injuries.

“Most Mercy primary care physicians in the area are accepting new patients and many of those offices can take same day appointments, which is what we want to provide patients when they’re sick or injured,” said David Chalk, MD, president of Mercy Clinic. “Many of our newer primary care doctors are in the early phase of their careers and that gives them an advantage in having been immersed in the latest technologies during their entire training. They also have long careers ahead of them, so you can be assured that they will be your doctor for a long time to come.”

Here are a few Mercy physicians who are accepting new patients in the area:

Christina Garretto, DO, practices at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine, 2716 W. Osage in Pacific. Dr. Garretto attended Kirkville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. She joined Mercy Clinic in 2009. For more information, call 636-271-4000.

Michael Stone, DO, works with Jennifer Stearnes, MD, and Jessica Van Bibber, MD, at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine in Washington. Dr. Stone received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed his residency at Oklahoma State University. Kristin Weidle, MD, practices at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine at 901 Patients First Drive in Washington and 2066 Village Lane in Hermann. Dr. Weidle, who is board certified in family medicine, completed medical school at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed her residency at Cox Family Medicine. Gina Mohart, MD, received her medical education from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University’s hospital. Weldon James, MD, works with Christopher Adams, MD, Amanda Burkheart, DO, and Joi Irving, MD, at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine in Union. Dr. James received his medical degree at Meharry Medical College and completed his residency in family medicine at University of Kansas School of Medicine.
