A new fitness, nutrition and weight-loss store, Supplement Superstores, has opened at 2090 Washington Crossing.

The superstore is owned by Chris Klein, St. Louis, and Andy Frisella, who owns a farm in Robertsville. It is the 13th location.

The store carries holistic vitamins and minerals, post-workout proteins, thermogenics, sports supplements. The store also can order products and sell them at a wholesale price.

Bobby Pebler, general manager and sports nutrition specialist, said the atmosphere of Supplement Superstores is different because each of the employees is required to be certified in personal training, sports nutrition and sports supplements. Certifications are earned through the National Association of Sports Medicine.

Sales associates can help with diet and workout plans for each person depending on their goals — whether it’s weight loss, weight gain, maintenance or just having a healthy lifestyle, among other goals, he said.

“Whether you come in to buy something or just for advice, we’ll take care of you,” said Pebler, adding that educating people on nutrition is one of his goals.

Additionally, there is no “house brand,” which Todd Otto, a sports nutrition specialist at the store, said keeps associates unbiased toward any brand or fitness plan.

“We’ll ask you the right questions, listen to what their goals are and help them find the right workout, diet and/or supplements,” Pebler said.

“Everyone is different,” said Otto, adding that anyone can benefit from the store’s services.

As a wholesale store, Pebler said prices are typically lower than Internet prices.

Hours

The store is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Discounts are available for police officers, firefighters, ambulance personnel and active military.

A grand opening celebration is being planned at a later date.

Supplement Superstores is on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Its website is supplementsuperstores.com.

The business will host a “Crusher Race” Sunday, Nov. 10, at Brookdale Farms in Eureka. The race will feature a rock wall, rope climb, tire hill, corn maze and other obstacles.

To enter or for more information, people may call the store, 636-432-1880, or visit crusherrace.com.
