Planning Committee Denies Meramec Aggregates Permit

Citing concerns with a lack of information, and sometimes conflicting information, the Franklin County Planning and Zoning Commission rejected Meramec Aggregates’ conditional use permit.

The commission unanimously agreed to deny the permit. Meramec Aggregates had requested the CUP to mine gravel and dredge a 35-acre lake on property along the Meramec River near St. Clair.
