Bank of Washington Promotes Dunigan, Lane

L. B. Eckelkamp Jr., chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the Bank of Washington, has announced the promotions of Carol Dunigan and Angie Lane.

Dunigan has been promoted to vice president – finance and risk management.

With over 25 years of financial experience, Dunigan has worked for the Bank of Washington for over 12 years in her previous position as vice president internal audit.

Prior to joining the Bank of Washington, she worked as an internal auditor at United Bank of Union, as well as the assistant vice president internal audit/compliance officer at Capital Bancorporation, Inc., Cape Girardeau.

“I am very proud to work for this bank and family,” Dunigan said. “They value their employees and it shows through their employees’ longevity. In addition, they value and support their community both monetarily and through volunteerism. I value my role in this bank and hope to make a positive contribution for many years to come.”

Dunigan is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She also is a graduate of Graduate Banking School in Madison, Wis.

She is a member of the Rotary Club of Washington and has volunteered with a variety of committees within the bank and the community.

Additionally, she is a member of the Missouri Bankers Association, Financial Managers Society, Risk Managers Association and the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Dunigan and her husband Greg reside in Marthasville, and have one daughter, Whitney, who currently lives in Kona, Hawaii.

Lane has been promoted to internal auditor.

She has over 13 years of Bank of Washington experience, and over 17 years of financial experience.

Lane started her career with the bank as a teller, moving to loan operations, then credit, and most recently audit assistant.

“The values that the Bank of Washington embrace make me feel proud to be a part of the family,” she said. “My main focus is to make a positive difference as internal auditor, and to motivate and continuously improve the bank, the people around me and myself.”

Lane graduated from New Haven High School, received her associate’s degree from Illinois Central College, and received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Maryville University.

She is a member of the Missouri Bankers Association and the Internal Institute of Auditors, and also volunteers with the United Way.

Lane and her husband Frankie reside in Leslie, and she has two stepchildren, Liam and Liyah. They are members of St. Joseph-Neier Catholic Church.

The Bank of Washington is the oldest and largest community bank in Franklin County, serving the community for over 135 years, and offering banking seven days a week at their branch located inside Schnucks in Washington.
