A Washington man is charged in two new grand jury indictments with sex-related crimes, including one dating back 17 years.

And county authorities are asking anyone to come forward if they have any information or know about other possible victims.

Sean B. Geisert, 41, was taken into custody Thursday morning on the new indictments. He was released later Thursday on a $25,000 bond that had been reduced from an earlier bond of $50,000.

He previously had been charged with two counts of first-degree statutory sodomy in an indictment that alleged he engaged in deviate sexual acts with a young girl between Jan. 1, 2009, and Dec. 31, 2012.

However, Prosecuting Attorney Bob Parks dismissed those charges after additional victims came forward in the investigation.

Parks said the new indictments include the original two sodomy counts, plus a misdemeanor charge of second-degree child molestation and one count of forcible rape.

The child molestation charge stems from an incident that allegedly occurred between April 1 and April 30, 2013.

The forcible rape charge is based on allegations that Geisert had “sexual intercourse through forcible compulsion” with a woman in July 1996.

The new indictments were handed up recently by the grand jury. Grand jury indictments are sealed until they are signed by the presiding judge and served on the suspect.

The sheriff’s office began the investigation last year after being notified of the original sodomy allegations through a hotline call to the Division of Children’s Services.

The victim in that original case was 8 years old at the time of the hotline report.

Geisert is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Circuit Judge Gael Wood’s court.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the detective bureau at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, 636-583-2560.
