To The Editor:

Upon arriving in Washington in late 1947, we learned there were two newspapers available to us. It didn’t take long to determine leadership of both were not cut from the same mold. This was borne out when The Missourian purchased the other a few years later, and again proven true when Jim Miller, Sr., was inducted into the Missouri Press Hall of Fame.

We all know history does repeat itself. And we see that now as Bill Miller, Sr. has been selected and is being recognized for his many significant contributions to the print media.

The Missourian has long been a leader in the journalism field and will continue to be for many years to come. Journalism blood runs deep in the Miller family.

Congratulations, Bill, on your much-deserved honor.
