The Pacific High School drama group will stage “The Boy Friend” for four performances in November.

The musical will be performed Nov. 2-4 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 5, at 3 p.m.

The Meramec Valley R-III School Board last week approved the Sunday usage of the high school auditorium for the matinee Nov. 5.

Tom Sauvage, PHS principal, had submitted a request regarding the use of the high school auditorium.

The 1954 musical comedy by Sandy Wilson is set in the carefree world of the Roaring ‘20s.

The show takes place at Madame Dubonnet’s Finishing School on the French Riviera where Polly, an English heiress, falls in love with Tony, a delivery boy.

Polly pretends to be just a secretary until her parents arrive with wealthy friends who provide a twist for the story.

Like all 1950s musicals, the show ends on a high note.
