Annual History Fair to Be Held at County Seat Senior Center

The Franklin County Historical Society will hold its annual Franklin County History Fair Sunday, Oct. 20, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the County Seat Senior Center in Union.

The fair is now a regional event with genealogical and historical societies coming from the counties of Franklin, St. Louis, Jefferson, Washington, Crawford, Warren and possibly more.

Several artists and authors will be participating. There also will be spinning and basket making, food, music and more.

Following is a list of participants:

Daughters of the American Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, Honor Flight, Photo Restoration by Tamie, River Hills Traveler, Old Bus Stop, Scenic Regional Library, Franklin County recorder of deeds, Family History Center, Meramec Caverns, Franklin County Cemetery Association, Friends of Daniel Boone Burial Site, Harney Mansion Foundation, Franklin County Fiber Guild, Washington Historical Society, Four Rivers Genealogical Society, Pacific Sand Mine Show, Meramec Valley Genealogical and Historical Society, New Haven Preservation Society and Baskets by Doris.

The Franklin County Historical Society meets the second Sunday of each month at 2 p.m., usually at the Hansen building, 15 N. Oak, Union.
