Tannenbaum Trees

Due to the success and growth of the Tannenbaum Auction, N Sports Rec Center, at 3101 Recreation Drive in Washington, will be hosting the fifth annual Tannenbaum Auction this holiday season.

All proceeds from the auction and ticket sales to the celebration will go directly to the Friends of Emmaus, a nonprofit organization created to support residents at the Emmaus Home on the Marthasville campus.

Friends of Emmaus provides critical funds for various resident programs including Exceptional Equestrians, Special Olympics, a ceramics program and special events throughout the year at the Marthasville campus. This year the proceeds will provide a “facelift” for Faith House.

This year’s Tannenbaum Auction will exceed 350 entries. The donated decorated trees, topiaries, wreaths, centerpieces and “Can’t Live Without It” specialty items will be available for viewing at N Sports Rec Center or online at www.tannenbaumauction.com.

Silent bids will be accepted until Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m.

The Tannebaum corporate sponsors — Wells Fargo Advisors, Cooperative Home Care and Matt Westhoff MBM Wealth Consultants — will be recognized for their significant support of the fifth annual Tannenbaum Auction.

Award winning entries will be announced at an awards party on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The winning entries and all trees will then go to the public auction Nov. 21.

Appetizers and beverages donated by local restaurants and caterers will be available as people view and bid on auction items.

Special performances by the Emmaus Bell Choir and Vocal Choir and Elvis, a.k.a. Steve Davis, are just a few highlights of the celebration.

Pictures with Santa and a live reindeer also will be available for a nominal fee.

Tickets are available at N Sports Rec Center, The Homestead at Hickory View and from any of the traveling “human” Tannenbaum Trees when they make appearances at civic events, on a street or store . . . be on the lookout for them between now and Nov. 20.
