We're Looking for Community Partners
In today's world, it has never been more important to keep our kids reading and to keep them connected to their community. With that knowledge, the Warren County Record is again making the commitment to provide free newspapers to ALL local educators who request them.
To provide these resources, we need your help. The demand for classroom newspapers remains high. Over the last several years, local businesses and individuals provided hundreds of classroom newspapers each week to students in grades K-12 to teachers in area schools, public and private, at no cost to the schools.
Why newspapers? Because the newspaper is a living textbook, and a non-fiction read for our students, enabling children at all levels to develop good reading skills while gaining an understanding of their community.
In addition to distributing these classroom newspapers, we support the educational use of the newspaper with many in-paper youth features and teacher resources.
Record In Education is a community partnership. By being a sponsor of the Record In Education youth literacy program, you help us provide these resources at no cost to all teachers who want to participate. Your donation can be a charitable contribution if made through the Missouri Press Foundation. Download a sponsorship form by clicking the PDF document in this story under Related Documents.
For more information, contact Dawn Kitchell, Warren County Record, 636-932-4301, kitchelld@emissourian.com.
