MIE Teacher of Year Recognized
The Missourian's Dawn Kitchell made a special presentation
Wednesday to Sheila Grgurich, a teacher at St. John the Baptist
School, for her selection as 2011 Missourian In Education Teacher
of the Year.
Grgurich was selected in December, and Kitchell recognized her
in front of the entire school and presented her with a framed copy
of the story, as well as a cash gift and newspaper
subscription.
Grgurich donated her $100 prize to the school's tuition
assistance program. Grgurich was the ninth local educator to be
recognized by The Missourian for excellence in teaching with the
newspaper.
