Washington High School will hold a Make-A-Swish night Tuesday, Jan. 16, to benefit a Washington boy being granted a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The night will include the girls’ varsity basketball game starting at 6 p.m., followed by the boys’ varsity game at 7:30 p.m.

There will be a variety of activities held throughout the evening, such as raffles and “Miracle Minute” at halftime of both games.

Make-A-Swish T-shirts are being sold for $15 and $20. Cash and checks payable to WHS are accepted.

Sponsors also are being sought for the T-shirts. Company logos will be printed on the backs of the shirts, which will be worn by the basketball teams Jan. 16 as their warm-up jerseys.

The goal is to raise $5,000 to help fund the family’s Make-A-Wish trip to Legoland in California.

Lazlo is a 5-year-old boy who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in 2016. He has had surgery and treatment, and currently scans show that he is cancer free.
