Pink Seeds Benefit Breast Cancer Research
Those popular, brightly colored clay balls featuring uplifting smiles known as Seeds of Happiness have limited edition pink seeds available in October in conjunction with the national observance of “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
For every bag of pink Seeds sold during the month of October, 10 percent of the purchase price will be donated to the American Cancer Society in support of its efforts for breast-cancer research.
The pink Seeds are a simple, easy way to brighten someone’s day, as well as spread awareness about breast cancer and raise money to research a cure. A story card, detailing the Seeds of Happiness story, as well as explaining the cause-marketing program, is included with each bag.
From its inception, giving back to the community has been a core value of Seeds of Happiness. The company, based in Kirkwood, has partnered with a number of charitable organizations including Dawson’s Hairless Heroes, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Shriners Hospital for Children, Melanoma Society and Williams Syndrome Association on specialty seeds.
Limited edition pink seeds are available at www.seedsofhappiness.com.
Washington resident Bill Elcan serves as president of Seeds of Happiness.
