Washington School District's Low Incidence Program Is Making a Difference for Students With Autism

Donates Funds for Classroom iPad
Mark Lohan, left, vice president of the Franklin County Community Tennis Association (FCCTA), presents a check for more than $1,400 to South Point Elementary staff Ann Heinrich, teacher in the level two low incidence classroom for students with intense special needs, and Eric Lause, principal. The funds will be used to purchase a classroom iPad for the low incidence room, along with apps that will help the students learn and other equipment or materials for the classroom.
Funds were raised at the annual Foam Ball Tennis Tournament held this year in March in the gym at Washington West Elementary.
