Founded in 1956, the Saint Louis Chamber Chorus is one of the longest-lived and most respected choirs in the nation. It has garnered acclaim both here and abroad for its numerous recordings and championing of new music.
The 2013-2014 season will feature world premieres by Yakov Gubanov, Francis Pott and Ugis Praulins.
The Chamber Chorus sings in a wide range of venues, public and private, sacred and secular, across the St. Louis region. Each concert is performed in a space chosen for its acoustics and setting to enhance the musical experience.
The season is made up of six programs, all performed on Sunday afternoons at 3 p.m., with rehearsals on Monday evenings. Singers are paid an honorarium per concert.
