Calling all Star Wars fans! The Washington Public Library will host “The Library Strikes Back” Bash Saturday, Jan. 19, from 2 to 4 p.m.

An appearance by the 70th Explorers Garrison of the 501st Legion will provide patrons with the opportunity to meet Star Wars characters, including a Storm Trooper, an Imperial Officer and more. The 501st Legion is an international association of Star Wars enthusiasts with more than 6,000 members.

These civic-minded volunteers make promotional appearances in their movie quality costuming to fascinate program attendees while supporting public service initiatives and charitable organizations. To learn more about 501st Legion, visit www.70thexplorers.com.

This event also will feature intergalatic games, trivia and Star Wars-themed crafts.

Light sabers, cameras and costumes are welcome.

No registration is necessary.
