Danielle Getsee and David Willey were united in marriage Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at St. Francis Borgia Church in Washington, with Father Kevin Schmittgens presiding over the ceremony.
Bride’s parents are Kent and Jamie Getsee, Washington. Bride’s grandparents are Milton and Celeste Peters, Washington, and Walter and Carolyn Getsee of Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Groom’s parents are Stephen and Janice Willey of St. Louis. Groom’s grandparents are Paul and Carol Unnerstall, St. Louis, and John and the late Audrey Willey, St. Louis.
Serving as maid of honor was Ashley Herrmann (formerly Overschmidt), and serving as matron of honor was Krista Huber. Bridesmaids included Julie Shaw, groom’s sister, Laura Gros, Katie Anne Havard, Claire Hosseini and Alexis Diglio.
Serving as best man was John Haberberger with groomsmen including Zack Getsee, bride’s brother, Dane Shaw, groom’s brother, Joe Haberberger, James Schwartz, Stanley Fowler and Adam Jenkins.
Ring bearer was Theodore Willey, groom’s cousin. Flower girl was Sloane Getsee, bride’s niece, escorted by Sarah Getsee, bride’s sister.
Altar servers were Quinn Conroy and Kell Conroy, bride’s cousins. Presenting the gifts were the bride’s godparents, Brad Peters and Dawn Tucker, and groom’s godparents, Jim Unnerstall and Kathy Houston.
Organist was Lucy Tobben accompanied by Courtney Willey, groom’s cousin, as vocalist. Readers included Rachel Darrow, groom’s cousin, Ali Hellebusch, Nicke Addison and Ande Conroy, bride’s cousins.
A dinner reception was held at St. Francis Borgia’s Jesuit Hall in Washington.
The bride graduated from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in 2009, from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2013 with a BS in biology, and from the University of St. Francis, Fort Wayne, Ind., in 2016 with a master’s in physician assistant studies. Danielle is now employed as a physician assistant at Mercy Hospital St. Louis with the vascular surgery team.
The groom graduated from St. John Vianney High School in 2009 and from Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly the University of Missouri-Rolla) in 2014 with a BS in civil engineering. David is now employed as a civil and structural engineer with Manley Brothers LLC in St. Louis.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Sedona, Ariz., and Scottsdale, Ariz., and now reside in Creve Coeur.
