Bob and Norma Dean Hoemann, Union, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary Oct. 7, 2018, at St. Clair Nursing Center, St. Clair. About 50 friends and family members attended the celebration which was hosted by their daughters. Many others sent cards and best wishes.
Mr. Robert Lee Hoemann, son of Carl and Jennie Hoemann, and Miss Norma Dean Vaughan were united in marriage July 3, 1948, in Belle, at the home of the bride’s parents, Oscar and Edith Vaughan. The home was at the Shell Pipeline Pump Station. The ceremony was performed by John Hall, minister at First Christian Church in Union.
The Hoemanns’ four daughters and spouses are Kay and Norman Eads, Kathy and Mark Matthews, Carol and Brad Erismann and Beth and Kerry Klenke.
Their 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren are Dean (Shannon) Eads, Nicholas and Sydney; Chris (Amber) Eads, Tristan and Cayman; Nate Matthews; Derrick (Sherri) Matthews, Haden and Jordan; Greg (Megan) Matthews, Allie, Taylor, Micah and Noah; Carli (Ryan) Doepke, Asa and Noami; Joel (fiancée Allie) Klenke, all of the Union area; Stephanie (Andy) Hughes, Jayde and Jonas, of Ohio; Robby (Renata) Nalker, Weston and Liam; and Eric (Stephanie) Nalker, Phoebe, of Indiana.
The bride’s sister, Cleo Jane Owens and longtime friend Helen Peth, both of Union, were able to be at the celebration.
A beautiful replica wedding cake was made by daughter Carol Erisman.
