Hischier-McDonald Wedding Vows Read

Emily McDonald and Nicholas Hischier were united in marriage May 17, 2014, at Assumption Church, New Haven. Father John Deken officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony.

Bride’s parents are Mike and Donna McDonald. Groom’s parents are Mark and Joyce Hischier. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Serving as maid of honor was Elise McDonald, Etlah. Bridesmaids were Michelle Lepper, Union, Amanda Schlottach, Owensville, Kristen Hartmann, Jefferson City, Jackie Pate, New Haven, and Lynette Hischier, Washington. Honorary bridesmaid was Julia McDonald, Marthasville.

Best man was Ryan Gerling, New Haven. Groomsmen were Adam Hagedorn, New Haven, Shawn Hoerstkamp, Tim Kluesner, both of Washington, Ryan Boeckmann, Centralia, and Collin Maune, Washington. Honorary groomsman was Elias McDonald, Marthasville.

Flower girl was Zoey Downey, New Haven. Ring bearer was Nathan Meyer, New Haven.

Music for the ceremony was provided by the Assumption Church Choir. Ushers were Tim Meyer and Brad Brueggemann, both of Washington. Candlelighters were Claire Meyer, New Haven, and Carlee Maune, Washington.

An outdoor reception was held at the McDonald Farm in Etlah.

The bride graduated from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School in 2005 and Missouri State University in 2010 with a degree in biology. She is employed by Health Aide at Franklin County R-II School.

The groom graduated from Washington High in 2004 and East Central College in 2006. He is employed by ALPS Mountaineering.

After a wedding trip to Moreea and Bora Bora, the couple reside in New Haven.
