Dr. Amelia Elizabeth Frank and Bryan Keith Goers were united in marriage Aug. 6, 2017, at Les Bourgeois Vineyard, Rocheport. Peter Scherf, bride’s friend, officiated at the ceremony.
Bride’s parents are Dr. Amber Barnhart and Dr. Stuart Frank, Springfield, Ill. Groom’s parents are Dr. Kathy Lentz and Keith Goers, Washington.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Bridesmaids were Abbie Frank, Urbana, Ill., Jessie Frank, St. Louis, Jackie Intres, Chicago, Ill., and Lindsay Larsen, Minneapolis, Minn.
Best man was Dr. Matthew Goers, Atlanta, Ga. Groomsmen were Dave Brown, St. Louis, Nick Evans, Columbia, and Brendon Steenbergen, Columbia.
Ushers were Barry Goers, Denver, Colo., and Brett Goers, Westminster, Colo.
Music for the ceremony was provided by soloist Meaghan Heath, Seattle, Wash. The reading was by Sebastian Frank, Mt. Holly, Vt.
The couple extends a special thanks to Jonathan and Kenna Cornelius.
A reception was held at Les Bourgeois Vineyard, Rocheport.
The bride went to high school in Springfield, Ill., and attended Northwestern University in Chicago, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in literature. She received an M.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed her family practice residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She currently is in a fellowship for a master’s in academic medicine at MU.
The groom graduated from Washington High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Missouri at St Louis. He was granted a master’s in public policy from Truman School of Public Affairs, University of Missouri-Columbia, and currently is working as senior coordinator in the Office of Student Engagement at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
After a wedding trip to Alaska, the couple reside in Columbia.
